Bakewell and the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are just 30 minutes away by car, as is the National Trust’s Lyme Park and the historic plague village of Eyam.

The nearest bus service can be found 1000 yards away at New Smithy, servicing Chinley and Whaley Bridge in one direction, and Chapel-en-le-Frith and Buxton in the other direction.
