Summary: Upon arrival check-in did not go smoothly at all. There was a discrepancy with the reservation ( which I take accountability for) however when trying to figure out the best way to rectify the situation management was slightly insulting and threatening (there was mention of security which was unwarranted and added to my frustration). Furthermore, the staff made incorrect assumptions about our room assignments, shouldn’t the staff ask guests about their preferences rather than make assumptions…..this was the second insult and we haven’t even gotten to the room yet. Now that we are finally able to check-in and go to the room the view is not as expected. The room was listed as an ocean view not a partial ocean view. These hotels play on wording so be VERY careful with the room you choose. When trying to change the room I was told they can’t control the space next to building (rude). Ok fine but at least be upfront about the room. Nowhere in the description did it say PARTIAL view. On a positive note, the best area for this hotel was the pool and with the exception of management most of the staff was polite and friendly. Unfortunately not my best experience….and I travel quite often.
