Welcome to My Happy Place!
We have nestled My Happy Place on the most pristine beach of Spanish Wells, within walking distance to everything
Just step down the double stairs and use the private white sand path, a blissful 70 feet walk takes you to a nearly private beach.
Calm and turquoise water, next to no one will walk by, this paradise is yours. No shoes needed, when you come back, just dip your feet in the freshwater footbath and enjoy our outdoor deck shower.
We have designed our home ourselves and have curated every detail so that it feels like travelling at the end of the world.
It’s on stilts, with a large deck allowing to enjoy both the views of the ocean and the sky, whose colors are constantly changing. Have lunch at the outdoor table, lounge on the comfy couch, take a nap, you desert it.

The large open living space is accented by high ceilings and white shiplap walls creating a bright and airy ambiance throughout. It is a real holiday house, with many spots and nooks to press pause and enjoy in.
The kitchen is fully equipped, everything you need and you didn’t know you did. Hint: mango smoothie or margharita? The first bedroom has a king bed with a double vanity ensuite bathroom, and an ocean view private balcony. A kids’ room with large bunkbeds will please children of all age, and an adjacent bathroom .A laundry room, fully equipped with brand new washer and dryers.
Walk up the stairs and discover a huge master suite, with an ultra-comfortable king bed, soaked in sunlight during the day, and a sleeping under the open sky feeling at night. Or close the curtains, your choice.From the daybed, enjoy the best view of the house, garden and ocean, unwind, and you know what? Take a nap while you’re there.
We have chosen to only use rainwater (compared to city water), in order to have the best experience. We also use a Berkey water filter tank for drinking water, to produce the most healthful drinking water available and the best of the island. You won’t need plastic bottles from the stores.
The house has also been designed to use wind as much as possible to cool those hot days. Sure, we have central AC, but just open any of the many windows and let the breeze in, there’s nothing like it….
On the island, you will find a couple convenient stores besides Food Fair, several restaurants, a doctor, a dentist office, a few shops, but the greatest thing there is the kindness and warmth of the locals.
We are happy to share our home with you and hope it will soon become your happy place during your stay in the Bahamas and that you find it a pleasant retreat to return to.
How to get there you said?
Direct daily air service to North Eleuthera airport (ELH) is available from Atlanta (Delta), Fort Lauderdale (Silver Airways), Charlotte and Miami (American Airlines), and many more from other islands (Bahamasair and Pineapple Airlines)
Then a cab costs $15 and includes a drive to Gene Bay Dock and a short boat ride to Spanish Wells. If you rented a golf cart, it awaits you on the dock with your name on it. Literally. Our property manager will be there to welcome you, take you to the house, and take you for an island tour if you’re up to it.
